Is heartache beneficial?

The most treacherous journeys hold the greatest rewards, and the most beautiful treasures come out of the pain of child-birth. Safe harbor is only meant to be a stop along the journey, and just like a child gaining experience in a swimming pool, we must venture out into deeper water

How can we possibly gain experience without venturing further out? Nobody wants to venture into the unknown waters where certainty and safety aren’t promised. As christians, we can have the full confidence that we have a guide that has already given his life for ours and has guaranteed our safe arrival.

The most precious of things have been tested in fire. The hotter the fire, the more precious the metal. Our tears are worth 10,000 times more than their weight in gold, with Christ as the only exchanger. Our heart is a muscle, and in order for it to grow it must be stretched, and just like an exercise regimen, it needs to be continually stretched in order to grow and stave off atrophy.

In order to soar we need to leave the safety of the nest, and when the turbulence comes and the seat-belt light switches on, click it in and know that you’re secure.

Count it all joy, and be assured that everything that you have gone through, or are going through, or are going to go through has/is/and will, make you so much stronger,beautiful, and compassionate.
