Well, I guess I listen to them on the radio now.
When the neighbors have switched off their lights
and the dogs bark at the last man on his cycle,
I listen to the radio
wondering if i ever managed to write.
I listen for someone far off who may know exactly what to fix
Like a family doctor
Or a long distance psychic.
Maybe it’ll finally have a name
Angst that is borrowed but opaque-
Shameless and sorry.
Done and dusted
Heartbroken? Hungry? Horny?
