St. Joseph Country Club Gives Historic Building A Fresh New Look
This article covers the captures the sequence of renovations happening throughout The St Joseph Country Club, using a variety of multimedia outlets. It speaks on behalf of the old structure that the county club community has grown to know and love that dates back to 1898!
The St. Joseph Country Club was once owned by its members and ran by and executive bored. In 2016 the club was bought out by Great Life Golf which has resulted in a drastic drop in prices and an increase of membership! Along with the change in management, and growing membership, the building need to make a few changes to accommodate the new owners vision for the country club’s future.
The article goes on to say how renovations will start with the fitness center and expand to the patio, and finally to the pro shop which will be connected to the club building. These renovations may take longer than expected, due to some unforeseen roofing issues.
This article features pictures of workers renovating the soon-to-be fitness center, a video that shows demolition, and an interview with the club manager.
This article was straight forward and very informational. If you didn’t know about the club before reading this article, it helped give you a good since of its historic nature. Another aspect of the article I enjoyed, were the statements from existing members, and how they felt about the construction.
My critiques would be to add more pictures of construction and all the other rooms the country club has (some before and after’s).
